Brief Bio:

Dr. Chelsea (Chip) C. White III is Industrial Systems Engineering (ISyE) Chaired Professor in Transportation and Logistics at Georgia Tech, where his research includes stochastic optimization and artificial intelligence for problem solving, with application to transportation, logistics, and supply chain systems. Dr. White is also the Director of Georgia Tech's Trucking Industry Program, a member of the Sloan Foundation's Industry Centers Network. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Intelligent Transportation Society (ITS) of America, a Utilized Federal Advisory Committee to USDOT. As the ITS America representative, he has recently testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Environmental and Public Works regarding the "Reauthorization of the Federal Surface Transportation Research Program."
