Best Papers in European Union Research Award Guidelines: Two research paper awards are open for competition. Undergraduate students enrolled at a University System of Georgia institution are eligible to participate in the “Best Paper in EU Studies” competition. The award carries prizes of $100 for first place, $50 for second place, and $25 for third place. The paper may be written on any aspect of European integration or transatlantic relations. The paper should have been submitted between April 10, 2002 and April 10, 2003 for an undergraduate course at any of the 34 institutions of the University System of Georgia.Georgia Tech's Center for International Business Education and Research is offering a prize of $250 for the “Best Paper on European Business or EU Economic Integration”. The competition is open to all students of the University System of Georgia at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The paper should have been submitted for a course or toward fulfillment of degree requirements during the current academic year (2002-2003). For either award, any professor at a University System institution can officially nominate a paper and there is no limit on the number of papers that may be nominated from an institution. The deadline for submitting paper nominations is March 20, 2003. The postmark will determine if the submission date has been met. In nominating a paper, include only an executive summary of 250 words that provides a synopsis of the findings and an explanation why the findings are significant. At that point, the award recipients will not have been chosen. Prize-winners will be determined on the basis of the presentation of their research at the conference.
